Hopkinton Integrated PreschoolHopkinton Public Schools has an Early Childhood Center that supports and educates three and four-year-old students who have been identified with a disability, along with a number of “typically developing” peers. Hopkinton’s preschool has a low student/teacher ratio, highly qualified special education teachers, experienced related service providers and highly trained early childhood teaching assistants. Hopkinton’s preschool has an intellectually stimulating and broad ranging curriculum that follows Massachusetts’ Early Childhood Standards and Frameworks. An array of early childhood educational programs and services (integrated classrooms, specialized instruction, intensive therapies, systematic instruction, related services, etc.) are utilized to meet the diverse needs of our young students. The program offers a multidisciplinary curriculum taught by licensed special educators. The preschool program is located at Hopkinton Middle School. A limited number of openings are available for non-disabled students and these openings are filled by lottery. For information about the program or if you believe that you have a child who may be eligible under special education law as a disabled child, please Parents with children enrolled in the program should contact Kim Sullivan, Preschool Coordinator, 508-497-9806 for information. Preschool cancellations due to weather emergencies coincide with kindergarten announcements. |
