Fall 2010- School Council Openings

We are currently seeking candidates for the School Councils for the 2010-11 school year. Meetings are once a month and it is a way for parents to truly get to know their child's individual school. Each School Council includes a parent and teacher from each grade level and a community representative who does not have a child at the school. The term is two years unless otherwise noted. If you’re interested in learning more about the School Council and the open positions and/or submitting your name as a candidate, please contact HPTA School Council Coordinator, Cate Doherty-Waldeck at visdoherty@yahoo.com or 508-625-1429 by August 27. Openings:

Center School - Kindergarten (two positions will be available next year)
Elmwood School - 2nd Grade (two positions will be available next year)
Hopkins School - 4th Grade (two positions will be available next year)
Hopkins School - 5th Grade (one position will be available next year)
Hopkins School - Community Representative (one position will be available next year)
Middle School - 6th Grade (one position will be available next year)
Middle School - 8th grade (one position will be available next year)
Middle School - Community Representative (one position will be available next year)
High School - 9th Grade (one position will be available next year)
