NSTAR Fundraiser
Change a Light - Change the World
February 5-24
The HPTA and NSTAR are happy to bring back the Change a Light, Change the World fundraiser. Last year’s sale brought Hopkinton schools more than $7,000. We recognize that many Hopkinton families are carefully watching budgets and hope that you will find this particular fundraiser a win/win for you and the Hopkinton schools.
NSTAR will generously donate 100% of the cost of every compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) sold. That means, the Hopkinton schools will keep 100% of all money raised!
CFLs are energy-efficient light bulbs that last 8-10 times longer than regular bulbs and use 75% less energy. Your purchase of a light bulb saves you money, saves energy, and directly supports the Hopkinton schools.
New this year, NSTAR is offering the Earthmate Three-Way bulb for 3-way lamp sockets, an indoor floodlight in the GE R30 for recessed lighting, and the MaxLite compact fluorescent bulb for decorations.
Our school district goal is to sell 4,000 CFL bulbs. If every family purchases at least two bulbs (at $4 to $6 each) we will easily exceed this goal. This will enable the HPTA to continue offering quality enrichment programs, provide technology enhancements, and support our teachers and our district in 2010.
In order to encourage kids to participate, NSTAR is offering prizes for all sellers. In addition, the HPTA will provide prizes for the students who sell the most per building.
Center School – Red Sox Jersey with “Pedroia” on the back
