Historical Perspectives (Helen Keller) March 19th
An actress re-enacts an historical figure. This year she will play the role of Helen Keller. The children will learn about Helen Keller and her struggles as they watch the actress play out her autobiography in front of them. She will explain to the audience in Keller's own words what it means to be deaf, blind and "dumb". She further eplains how "dumb" in no way means that she is stupid. In the hour presentation they will take Helen's journey through her life; her struggles and triumphs through hard work and perserverence.
