2010-11 HPTA Board List, Budget and Annual Report Now Available

At our general meeting on Monday, May 17 we officially voted in the new slate of board members and our final budget for 2010-11. You can view them both online:

School Council Openings

We are currently seeking candidates for the School Councils for the 2010-11 school year. Meetings are once a month and it is a way for parents to truly get to know their child's individual school. Each School Council includes a parent and teacher from each grade level and a community representative who does not have a child at the school. The term is two years unless otherwise noted. If you’re interested in learning more about the School Council and the open positions and/or submitting your name as a candidate, please contact HPTA School Council Coordinator, Cate Doherty-Waldeck at visdoherty@yahoo.com or 508-625-1429 by August 27. We are especially in need of more candidates for Kindergarten parent representative.

Announcement: The Source Book will be online only this year!

For the last two years the HPTA and Hopkinton Public Schools have simultaneously published both an online Source Book and a printed copy available for purchase. Last year only 2% of families purchased a printed Source Book. In order to avoid the duplication of efforts involved in offering both a printed and online version, the HPTA Board and HPS Administration have decided not to offer a printed Source Book this year.
